CLUB STATEMENT: 19/03/2020 – An update on our Covid-19 position

Following our regular virtual meeting between staff members and management at Aldershot Town this afternoon, all staff including: Players, Management and Office Staff have all agreed to take reduced salaries.

This is to ensure that all those involved with the football club at this moment in time are doing everything we can help to the club move forward, given these difficult circumstances.

This decision has also stemmed from the recent decision to suspend the EFL until the end of April and at the moment, the uncertainty on when a decision on the National League’s approach has been made as well.

We appreciate to all those involved that this hasn’t been an easy to decision to make.

This also continues with our other additional cost cutting when we have no activity at the ground, as we look to keep pushing forward and continuously look ahead to our next game soon.

We also appreciate the hardship that everyone connected with the club and the local trade, (who rely on the footfall on match-days) and we wish them all our best wishes in this current environment.

The football club are humbled and appreciate this fantastic gesture from the commitment of all the employees at Aldershot Town Football Club, from all the staff members and management and we hope they and the fans get to see us playing at the EBB Stadium once again very soon.

The club will make no further comment at this time.
