Final reiteration of EBB Stadium rules ahead of Semi-Final

Ahead of tomorrow’s Isuzu FA Trophy Semi-Final, We’d like to issue a final reiteration of rules and expectations in place at the EBB Stadium.

As Aldershot Town supporters, you are representatives of our football club and with a sell-out crowd tomorrow, we are incredibly excited to receive your support in full volume. We urge the vast majority of our fanbase who do us proud up and down the country to help ensure tomorrow’s game is enjoyed by all in a safe and legal manner without detriment to your passionate and incredible support.

The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985 prohibits drinking alcohol in view of the pitch at football matches in England and Wales. Despite making extra bar facilities available, stewards will be on hand to ensure that no alcohol is taken away from our bar areas and in view of the pitch. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be punished and could see the club face further punishment.

Under the Football (Offences) Act 1991, it is illegal for any supporter to enter the field of play at any point and we must remind supporters that anyone found guilty of this will face a significant banning order. Please stay off the pitch at all times.

Discriminatory behaviour and chanting has no place at the EBB Stadium. We ask all supporters to report any instances of this to their nearest steward immediately. The Club has already received a substantial fine for sectarian chanting earlier this season and would be subject to harsher punishment should a similar instance reoccur.

The Club follows a strict zero-tolerance policy on pyrotechnics and missiles of any kind. Extra searches will be taking place (so please allow extra time when entering the stadium) and with a heavy police presence at tomorrow’s game, anyone found in possession of a pyrotechnic will be handed straight to any on-duty police and will receive a banning order and criminal charges.

But finally, we want you to support the Shots at your loudest and your proudest. Do us proud tomorrow, Shots, and remember you’re representing Aldershot Town.
