Aldershot Town have received notice from the Football Association on the need to prevent any post-match pitch incursions at Saturday’s home game against Braintree Town.
While we recognise the importance of the game, and possible outcomes, we must focus on the safety of the players, officials and members of the public. Our zero-tolerance policy on people who breach ground regulations has proved very successful this season, and any supporters entering the pitch on Saturday risk being banned not only for any potential Play-Off fixtures but also for the entire 2017-18 season.
We are currently working to ensure that Gary Waddock and his players are able to complete a post-match lap of honour in a safe and risk-free environment for everybody.
